Internship: International event planning at NGO in Lund


Internship at IM Swedish Development Partner planning and coordinating upcoming
events during 2020, aimed at our partners and philantropists. You will also work with
other events related to our project Humanium Metal by IM. You will be a central part of
our team and work directly with the project leader and partners, in Sweden and

During 2020 IM plans to arrange several events and is looking for an energetic and
structured student to join our project team in Lund. The internship is part time to full time from
January to December, with summer holiday. You will be working close together with
colleagues from different departments in both Sweden and abroad creating events that
engage people in our vision of a world free from poverty and exclusion. IM have a very
positive experience from arranging events like this and aim to develop these even further

• Plan and execute events, in collaboration with the project leaders.
• Develop the content and concept of each event.
• Communicate with participants.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

• Energetic, structured and independent.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Basic understanding of written and spoken Swedish.
• Experience from project management or event planning.
• Experience from marketing, communication, PR, sales and similar is regarded as a merit.
• Knowledge of development cooperation is regarded as a merit.

The position is based at IM headquarters in Lund. The internship is part time to full time,
depending on your availability but will be specified before the internship starts. The internship
period is from 7 January to 16 December 2020, but can be adjusting according to your
needs. This is an unpaid internship.
